The different Nikon EN-EL15 battery versions

A reader sent me some additional information on the different Nikon EN-EL15 battery versions  based on feedback from Nikon support: Q: Can you confirm if the battery life in the D850 is the same for both EN-EL15 black batteries and the EN-EL15a grey batteries? I have seen conflicting accounts in the press.

Olympus Commit to Micro Four Thirds as "Most mobile camera system"

Olympus reaffirmed their commitment to Micro Four Thirds in their press conference at Photokina today. Unlike fellow MFT member, Panasonic, Olympus have not unveiled any plans to release a camera system with a larger sensor, instead choosing to continue to offer “a professional camera system boasting great image quality while still being compact and featuring light weight.

Pictures show how the Nikon Z 7 mirrorless camera is being manufactured in Sendai

Shutterbug published 50 photos that show how the new Nikon Z 7 mirrorless camera is being made at the Sendai factory in Japan: “We got a glimpse of that Nikon Z 7 camera-making process during a visit to the Nikon factory in Sendai, Japan as part of our press trip. The one major caveat, however, was that we were not permitted to shoot photos or video inside the factory.

Nikon Z7 and Z6 Pictures Leaked One Day Before Official Launch

The new Nikon Z7 and Z6 mirrorless cameras have been leaked ahead of their official launch tomorrow. A full set of press pictures of the two Nikon full-frame compact system cameras have appeared on the Japanese rumour site Nokishita , showing the Z7 and Z6 from various angles and also the three new lenses (Z-Nikkor 24-70mm f/4 kit lens, Z-Nikkor 35mm f/1.8, Z-Nikkor 50mm f/1.8) and F-to-Z lens mount adapter that will be unveiled at the same time. There’s no word on the actual specifications yet, but as the press photos show, the Nikon Z7 and Z6 are identical mirrorless cameras with a tilting LCD screen, top-plate LCD panel and ergonomic grip in a DSLR-design

Clarification on the Nikon mirrorless camera announcement date

A quick clarification on my last post – as the title suggested ” One week away from the RUMORED new Nikon full-frame mirrorless camera announcement ” I want to emphasize that the July 23rd date is just one of the rumored details I have reported about the upcoming Nikon mirrorless camera. I already noticed several websites reporting this rumor as a fact. I have not seen the usual signs that precede a typical Nikon announcement and I am not sure if the official announcement will take place next week.

One week away from the rumored new Nikon full-frame mirrorless camera announcement

We are one week away from the rumored new Nikon full-frame mirrorless camera announcement. I have received some new pricing information, this time from Europe (I assume the prices are for a lens kit): Nikon 45MP full frame mirrorless camera: €4,000 (around $4,670) Nikon 24MP full frame mirrorless camera: €2,500 (around $2,900) One possible (rumored) scenario is that 45MP Nikon mirrorless full-frame camera will be announced first (at the end of July) while the second 24MP Nikon mirrorless full-frame camera could be announced at Photokina.
