Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR lens next to the 500mm f/4E and 180-400mm f/4

The above picture shows the size of the new 500mm f/5.6 lens (right) compared to the 500mm f/4E  (left, total length: 15.24in / 387mm) and the  180-400mm f/4E  (center, total length: 14.27in / 362.5mm) . Nikon Coolpix P1000 camera now available for pre-order

The new Nikon Coolpix P1000 camera is now available for pre-order: B&H Amazon Adorama  (listing should be online soon) WEX (UK) Park Camera (UK) The new Nikon ML-L7 Bluetooth remote contro l for the Coolpix P1000 camera  is now also listed for pre-order . There is also a  holster bag and a lens hood  designed for the P1000 (the lens hood is included with the camera, the remote control and bag are not). Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR fixed focal length super-telephoto lens for Nikon FX-format digital SLR cameras. Currently under development, the Nikkor 500mm f/5.6 lens uses the same type of Phase Fresnel (PF) lens element used in the AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR (pictured).

In memoriam David Douglas Duncan

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR lens review

This Nikon AF-S Nikkor 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR lens ( $12,396.95 ) field test is by Kjetil Schjølberg ( Instagram ) – the pictures were taken with the D850 in Norway and Kenya: The last ten days I was able to test the new Nikon 180-400mm in a variety of situations. As mainly a wildlife photographer I used it to shoot some local beavers here in Norway, and I brought it along as my only lens for a workshop I led in Kenya

Slide copying by K. Jayaram, a nature photographer from India: I have used slide films for over four decades. I have been wanting to copy some of the important slides and tried copying and scanning with no satisfying results.
