Sigma To Announce 5 New Lenses at Photokina 2018 (Rumour)

Sigma will introduce 5 new lenses at Photokina 2018, according to a pretty convincing leak on the prolific Japanese site Nokishita . The 5 new Sigma lenses are rumoured to be: Sigma 28mm F1.4 DG HSM Art Sigma 40mm F1.4 DG HSM Art Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Sports (pictured) Sigma 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary There are no specs just yet, just some very official looking product shots. With Photokina starting next week, you won’t have long to find out just what Sigma have up their sleeves

Update on the “I’m Back” digital back solution for Nikon film cameras

The guys from I’m Back ® sent me an update on their project – the digital backs are currently in production in Hong Kong (see the latest progress here ).  I’m Back  will be exhibiting at the 2018 Photokina show, their booth will be shared with their partner Maxwintec Co.

Nikon’s Photokina press release suggests no further product announcements

Nikon Europe issued their press release for the 2018 Photokina show (September 26-29) and it seems that the new mirrorless Z system will be the main attraction at the Nikon booth. After reading the press release, I think there is a very low chance that Nikon will make any major announcements at their  September 25th event . Nikon Capture NX-D 1.5.0 released with “Color Control Point” feature

Nikon released Capture NX-D version 1.5.0 with the previously rumored  new ” Color Control Point “ feature. Here is the full list of updates/changes: Added support for the Z7, D3500, and COOLPIX P1000. Added a  Diffraction Compensation  feature and updated  Latest Picture Control  for the Z 7.
