New Nikon D3500 entry-level DSLR camera to be announced soon

The previously rumored Nikon D3500 entry-level DSLR camera (pictured above) will be announced soon. Nokishita reports the expected release date as September 28, 2018. Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 Coming for Photokina [CR2/CR3]

This has been a hard lens to pin down, likely because it’s still a long way off, with the expected announcement in August/September 2018 ahead of Photokina. We reported last month that the lens was going to be a 50mm equivalent for APS-C and that it was going to be fast

Nikon to announce replacements for the Coolpix AW130 and P900 cameras (125x zoom!)

Nikon announcement tonight, US pricing and availability for the two new Nikkor lenses

I can now confirm that tonight, around midnight EST Nikon will announce the previously rumored two lenses . Here are the expected US prices: PC NIKKOR 19mm f/4E ED tilt shift lens: $4,000 AF-S NIKKOR 70–200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR lens: $3,200 Yes, I also hope that there is a mistake in prices I received, but I am afraid this is the new normal  - get used to it

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Being Tested by Photographers

We’re told that “more than a few” Canon preferred photographers have been out testing the EOS 5D Mark IV recently ahead of the expected August announcement. This should tell us that the camera hardware specifications have been finalized and the software remains the final piece of the puzzle to tweak and improve.

Sigma to Announce 14-24 f/4 OS & 24 f/1.4

Sigma will be announcing a few lenses for Photokina in the coming weeks. The first will be the expected Sigma 24mm f/1.4 Art, which will be priced around $1100. The second will be a 14-24 f/4 DG OS that will be priced around $1200

New EF-S 24mm & USM Motor Coming? [CR1]

We’re told to expect a new EF-S 24mm STM prime lens to arrive some time in the summer. The EF-S lineup is due for a shot in the arm, especially with the expected arrival of the EOS 7D Mark II. We’re also told that a new USM motor will also be introduced some time this year, and it will be called “C-USM”, which stands for Compact Ultrasonic Motor.
