Patent: Canon Application for a New Tilt Screen for the EOS-M

Canon News has found a patent detailing a new tilting screen mechanism for the EOS-M cameras. This possibly takes up less room that a full articulating screen, and also doesn’t force you to always have the screen to the side. Japan Patent Application 2018-054913

Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 Coming for Photokina [CR2/CR3]

This has been a hard lens to pin down, likely because it’s still a long way off, with the expected announcement in August/September 2018 ahead of Photokina. We reported last month that the lens was going to be a 50mm equivalent for APS-C and that it was going to be fast

The Coming EF-M Prime to be 50mm Equivalent for APS-C EOS M [CR2]

We’re told that the EF-M prime coming later this year will be a “50mm equivalent” and “fast”. If we had to guess, it’s going to be en EF-M 35mm (56mm equivalent) f/1.4 or /1.8.
