Sigma announced the shipping date for the new 70-200mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sports lens for Nikon F-mount: February 22. The price of the lens is $1,499. For comparison, the latest Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8E version  is now selling for $2,496.95  (with the  current lens rebates )

Nikon’s 3rd quarter financial results are out

Today Nikon released their Q3 financial results for the year ending on March 31, 2019: “High-end camera sales was brisk thanks to the new ML launch, but fierce competitions in the shrinking entry/mid-range DSLR markets suppressed the volume largely in addition with the initial cost, resulting in revenue/profit reductions.” Here is a recap by ZoetMB: Nikon originally forecast Imaging Division Revenue of ¥320 billion and the new forecast is ¥305, down 15.44% from 2018. They forecast Earnings of ¥29 billion, raised the forecast to ¥33 billion in August and the new forecast is ¥25 , down 17.22% from 2018
