We’re Not Convinced an EOS 7D Mark III is Coming in 2018

We sent this information out last week in our newsletter and we haven’t received any further clarity about the Canon EOS 7D Mark III. There has been a lot of unfocused chatter about an EOS 7D Mark III recently, and in my experience, that’s not a good thing.

Nikon’s upcoming mirrorless camera rumored to have a new Z-mount with 16mm flange focal distance

Nikon’s patent drawing showing a new lens mount design with different electronic contacts location (not sure if this is the rumored Z-mount) Some interesting rumors from CES – Nikon’s upcoming mirrorless camera is rumored to have a new Z-mount : Designed for full frame mirrorless cameras External diameter: 49mm Flange focal distance: 16mm Keep in mind that “Z-mount” may not be the final marketing name, but I believe the dimensions are right. Canon ranked third for the number of U.S. patents awarded in 2017, has been in the top five for 32 consecutive years, and first among Japanese companies for thirteen years running.
